I found today.com on Craigslist.. my do all, say all website to sell old furniture, find cheap violin lessons and occasionally, a date.. that has had mixed results so far…

My boss is waiting on a draft for this report we have been working on for months, but sometimes I find myself incapable of working in the afternoon.. it’s something between the lunch food coma and the relentless discomfort of sitting in a cubicle at the age of 26, watching my youth melt away… hours spent in front of this laptop.. oh well.. I blame the city… which I love…

I love the quiet of my block, the hustle of morning rush hour.. everyone so determined to hurry up and wait.. get their coffee, paper, cigarette or other morning fix.. There’s a comfort in knowing that the physcial stress and tension is shared among the masses….

I blame ambition.. I read a quote the other day about my sign, Libra (in short, we’re indecisive, passionate and dreamers) It said:

” Practical dreamers with high emotional intelligence needed to become experts in the following subjects: the art of possessing abundant resources without feeling greed or a sense of superiority; the science of cultivating luxurious comfort in a way that does not lead to spiritual sloth; and a knack for enjoying peace and serenity without diluting one’s ambition.” -Free Will Astrology, June 5th

The last piece hit me like the warm, humid air as you walk outside there days.. having peace without losing ambition.. why must we choose between calm and successful? Maybe I’ll rush to meditation class after my hectic day of deadline and try to figure it out ;)
